Dr. Felice Haake is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Osteopathic Medicine. A Diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, Dr. Haake also specializes in medical weight loss. In addition, Dr. Haake is trained in Age Management and is currently a member in good standing with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). She earned her Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Florida, Certificate of Post Baccalaureate Premedical Studies from New York University and her Doctorate from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Haake has a passion for helping patients restore their health through diet & exercise education, hormone optimization and nutraceuticals. She has a practice what you preach philosophy and thoroughly enjoys sharing her knowledge and her everyday practices with her patients. Her focus on hormone optimization, dietary and exercise interventions allow the patient to take control of their health and enables them to lead a more vibrant and functional life. Mr. Griffeth is an expert in the field of Regenerative Medicine having spent over 15 years in the space. He has directed the science & development of a number of pioneering regenerative therapies. He has worked with clinicians to develop some of the most advanced regenerative medicine treatment protocols and stem cell isolation protocols available. He has traveled the world to train physicians on stem cell processing techniques and stem cell delivery techniques.
Mr. Griffeth has also managed some of the largest pre-clinical & clinical trials in the field including using muscle derived stem cells to treat heart failure patients and adipose stem cells to treat orthopedic issues. He also played a leading role in developing a gene-modified stem cell treatment that led to the first ever IND approval by the FDA for a stem cell, gene therapy combination therapy. He has a B.S. in Microbiology & Cell Science and an M.S. Degree both from the University of Florida.
Dr. Haake trained with leading stem cell scientists & clinicians and has a fervent interest in the field of regenerative medicine due to his lifelong participation in athletics and service in the military. He joined the Regenerative Biologics Institute in order to be on the cutting edge of immunomodulatory therapies including stem cell and PRP treatments. He believes RBI offers a supplementary asset to the medical community and the sophisticated population at large along the Treasure Coast.
As a Specialist in Anesthesiology, Dr. Haake is a highly trained physician that draws on his extensive knowledge in physiology, pharmacology and diseases to guide his treatment techniques. He graduated from McKendree University with a degree in chemistry 2001 and was a 2nd team NAIA All-American outfielder baseball 2000. He played parts of three seasons of minor league baseball in the Frontier League (upper Mid-West) 2000-2002.
After accepting a Health Professions Scholarship from the US Navy was accepted into medical school in fall of 2003 and graduated from Nova SE COM in 2007. He then began active duty US Navy career at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA. After completing his internship in internal medicine he completed one year tour of duty with the 3rd Marine Logistics Group 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force Okinawa, Japan as a General Medical Officer. He then completed residency training in anesthesiology at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and achieved board certification in Anesthesiology.
Jay brings substantial orthopedic and joint injection expertise to RBI with over 10 years experience in Orthopaedic Surgery. He also has a well developed ability to perform medical histories, physical examinations, and other procedures.
Jay Johnston is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed with the Florida State Board of Medical Examiners. Jay is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Jay graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Microbiology in 2003. He then attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he earned his Masters degree in Medical Science and Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2006.
Dr. Don Portell is an interventional spine/pain medical physician that is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Dr. Portell has been practicing medicine for over 30 years specializing in back/spine injections, specifically cervical, thoracic, lumbar, facet joint injections, sacroiliac joint injections and epidural injections.
Dr. Portell performs precise injection techniques using advanced imaging such as fluoroscopy which provides continuous x-ray images in order to place RBI’s regenerative therapies directly into the area of need. Dr. Portell utilizes his extensive training to develop an accurate, individualized treatment plan for each patient with the goal of reducing chronic and debilitating pain for the long-term.
